Website Hosting

All our Customers have the option to host their Joomla CMS website with whom they wish. Randall Associates offer a competitively priced Joomla website hosting service. Our Joomla Websites, like most Joomla sites have some special hosting requirements. See below for information on hosting requirements and details of the four hosting plans that are available.

Joomla sites have some special hosting requirements including the following;

• Unix or Linux Servers preferred
• A minimum of 100Mb disk storage
• MySQL Database version 3.23.x or above. Note MySQL 6.x is not yet supported.
• Apache version 1.3 or above.
• PHP version 4.3.10 or higher (Version 4.4.7 recommended). Do not use PHP 4.3.9, PHP 4.4.2 or PHP 5.0.4 as these releases have known bugs that will interfere with the installation of Joomla!

The Websites hosted by Randall Associates use New Zealand based servers with 99.99% uptime. Non New Zealand Customers have the option to host their sites on servers that are based in their own Country.

Randall Associates also prefer Web Hosting Providers that offer 'CPanel' as a Website Administration tool. CPanel allows us to download compress files to web servers that saves us time and our customers money when building and maintaining websites.
